Salman Rushdie

Author of numerous prize-winning works and one of world literature's most esteemed figures and eminent voices, Rushdie will discuss his latest novel ‘The Enchantress of Florence', as well as strong female protagonists and the role of the imagination in fiction. He will be in conversation with Lisa Appignanesi, President of English PEN, and writer of several works of fiction and non-fiction, most recently ‘Mad, Bad and Sad'. This is the closing event of Free the Word!
