Yang Lian and Tze Ming Mok

Yang Lian

How can politics, poetry and life journeys come together to form new and powerful languages? After the Tiananmen Square massacre, Yang Lian became a poet in exile in New Zealand and Australia. He is one of China’s most prominent poets and cultural observers. Tze Ming Mok is a second-generation Chinese New Zealand poet, writer, journalist and sociopolitical commentator.

'The poem will always say more and say it better than the poet' Yang Lian
